I know how a unit base works, what an early call means and how to get through a studio gate. Based in Chobham, right on the M3/M25 studio corridor. Private trailer moves available too, between production jobs.

Anything with a 50mm hitch, roadworthy and 2,000kg or less by actual weight. Early calls, late wraps and moves while the crew is shooting are all normal for me.

Some jobs are too small to be worth a driver and a truck. Pass your quick trailer moves to me and I'll handle them with my own 4x4, start to finish.

I work as a subcontractor through Obsidian GT Ltd: one invoice per job, no payroll, no extra admin. I can work under your name on the day, with your paperwork and your client.

Clear prices, fixed before we go

A day rate for productions, and a simple per-job price for single moves.

Production day £200 / day

Me and the Freelander for up to 8 hours, including 50 miles. Extra hours £22, extra miles £1.10.

Single move · minimum £80

Any job up to 30 miles in total, counted from Chobham and back, and up to 2 hours of my time.

Single move · per mile £1.10 / mile

For each mile over 30, counted on the whole round trip: Chobham to collection, towing, and back.

Waiting time £20 / hour

On single moves, after the first 30 minutes on site at either end.

Every job gets a fixed quote before booking, based on fuel prices at the time of quote. ULEZ, Dartford crossing and tolls are added at cost. Productions are invoiced by Obsidian GT Ltd; private customers pay by bank transfer on delivery.

  3. Collection checkTyres, brakes, breakaway cable, lights and coupling checked before I hitch up, with dated photos.
  4. DeliveredPlaced where you want it, photographed on arrival, and you're sent a message it's done.

Before I can tow it

  • Actual weight no more than 2,000kg, including anything inside
  • Standard 50mm hitch with a working breakaway cable
  • Tyres in good condition and within age, brakes and lights working
  • Caravans: gas off, windows, roof lights and doors locked, contents secured
  • Keys, hitch lock and wheel clamp removed or handed over

Why it's safe with me

I drive articulated HGVs for a living, with a professional walkaround check on every vehicle and trailer, every time. If something on your trailer isn't safe to tow, I'll show you what it is rather than risk it on the road.
