I already work in film, on the transport side of the unit base.
After five years driving HGVs, I now move tech trucks, trailers and background vehicles for major studio and streaming productions. I've been through the gates at most of the big studios around London, loading and unloading tech trucks and doing vehicle moves while the crew is shooting elsewhere or asleep.
I know how a unit base runs, what an early call really means and how much depends on the kit turning up on time. What I haven't had yet is the chance to work on set itself. That's the gap I'm closing.
My long-term goal is to write, direct and produce: sharp, British, character-driven stories with the pace and swagger of Guy Ritchie's films. The best way to get there is to learn how every department works from the inside, so I'm looking for trainee roles in any of them.
Early calls are normal
Driving shifts start in the dark. Being first on site, rested and ready, is already routine for me.
Transport sorted
My own 4x4 with a tow bar and every licence from car to Class 1. I can get myself, kit or a trailer anywhere.
Safe hands with kit
Loading tech trucks has taught me to respect expensive equipment, load plans and site safety.

Where I can help
A director needs to understand every department. I'm keen to start in any of these and learn from the people who do it best.
From a car to Class 1
Full UK driving licence covering everything a production is likely to need moving.
5 years of HGV driving, 2 on Class 1. Driver CPC and digital tachograph card, both renewed in 2026. Forklift experience from in-house training (not a formal certificate).
Based on the studio corridor
I'm in Chobham, Surrey, right by the M3/M25 junction. Most of the major studios around London are within about 30 minutes, and I've already driven in and out of most of them.
What that means on your production
Picture-car and background vehicle moves, tech truck and trailer runs, early calls and late wraps. I'm a driver who already knows the gate procedures, the one-way systems and where the unit base usually ends up.
Kit & vehicle hire
Short films, music videos, YouTube and branded content: I can come with the kit, drive it and run it. Rates on request.
